The last girl went missingβ¦
Someone doesnβt want her to be found.
When Sloane takes a job at the infamous whitewater rafting camp, Widow Falls, she quickly learns that the camp has a reputation for more than just summer fun.
People go missing at Widow Falls.
The guide sheβs replacing was just one of many. As Sloane settles into her new homeβa one-room apartment sheβll be sharing with the five other guidesβshe canβt help asking questions and digging into the disappearances sheβs heard about. Her new roommates tell her stories of dark legends and dangerous folklore surrounding the secluded camp but assure her thereβs nothing to worry about. Itβs all just superstition.
When Sloane stumbles upon a clue and a secret message hidden beneath the floorboards of their loft, she begins to realize there may be more to the myths than sheβs been told.
The message gets her attention: Donβt trust anyone at Widow Falls.
As she follows clues to better understand the missing guide she replaced, Sloane canβt help noticing the similarities between the two of them.
What happened to the other girl?
Why wonβt the others help her search?
Are they all in danger?
Whateverβs happening at Widow Falls, itβs clear someone doesnβt want her digging into it. As the seams of her reality are torn apart, making her question everything she sees, feels, and believes, Sloane will have to uncover the truth about the campβand its occupantsβbefore someone else goes missing.
Because this timeβ¦it might be her.

The inspiration for this story came to Kiersten during a family vacation. I donβt know about you butβ¦I canβt think of a single family vacation that made my mind wander to the same depths of craaazzzzyyyy! Thank God Kierstenβs mind works that way though because her fans love her, her crazy characters & her ability to write books faster than we can read them! And we read FAST!
Oh, about Widow Fallsβ¦
Seems like a cool place for tourists to enjoy a white water rafting experience. Also seems like a pretty good summer gig for young people looking for some cash, a place to stay, and an opportunity to make some friends. Uhβ¦. WRONG! π€¦ββοΈ
When Sloane walked into the Widow Falls office that summer day, she had no clue it would be the day that would alter the course of her life.
I walked straight into the horror that was about to unfold without a single, solitary hesitation. I had no idea what was coming.
Little did she know that the shirts the tourists were proudly wearing that said βI Survived Widow Fallsβ should have been considered false advertising!
Iβd give anything to have gotten in that car and driven away, forgetting all about Widow Falls and its many secrets.
But I didnβt.
I stayed.
And what came next was my worst nightmare.
