Amazon Book Summary…
Newlyweds Alice and Jake are a picture-perfect couple. Alice, once a singer in a well-known rock band, is now a successful lawyer. Jake is a partner in an up-and-coming psychology practice. Their life together holds endless possibilities. After receiving an enticing wedding gift from one of Alice’s prominent clients, they decide to join an exclusive and mysterious group known only as The Pact.
The goal of The Pact seems simple: to keep marriages happy and intact. And most of its rules make sense. Always answer the phone when your spouse calls. Exchange thoughtful gifts monthly. Plan a trip together once per quarter. . . .
Never mention The Pact to anyone.
Alice and Jake are initially seduced by the glamorous parties, the sense of community, their widening social circle of like-minded couples.
And then one of them breaks the rules.
The young lovers are about to discover that for adherents to The Pact, membership, like marriage, is for life. And The Pact will go to any lengths to enforce that rule.
For Jake and Alice, the marriage of their dreams is about to become their worst nightmare.
Our Review…
From page one, you’ll feel like holding a big tub of popcorn while reading/listening to this book. The plot is just so unbelievable yet eerily… possible??
Since we listened to this story on audible, we found the need to stop often to digest what we heard as we thought, “wait… what…. so… then they did what? Noooooo…. OMG… don’t do it, don’t sign it, don’t go with him, can this really happen, they took him where?”
Looking around a crowded room full of people who don’t know what you are listening to, might make your jaw laying on the floor a little funnier sight than you’d think! There should be a warning to readers on the cover of this book: jaw dropping, eyebrow crinkling, gasping breathes, desire to scream, and floored reactions will occur upon reading this book!
So Jake and Alice… they’re like any couple we probably know. They’re young, successful, determined, and in love! What makes signing a marriage “pact” so appealing to them! If they only knew that it wasn’t a joke. It was probably the biggest regret of their lives!

What others are saying about Marriage Pact…
“Michelle Richmond is, simply put, a great storyteller. And The Marriage Pact, without gimmicks or tricks, is a twisting, suspenseful, keep-you-up-all-night thriller. But it’s more than that, too. It’s a deep, insightful, nearly voyeuristic view into modern marriage. . . . A smart, engrossing, scary read!”—Lisa Unger, New York Times bestselling author of The Red Hunter
“Riveting psychological suspense! This book will keep you up all night, while making you second-guess everything you know and everyone you’ve ever loved.”—Lisa Gardner, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Right Behind You
Hi ladies! I’m having some trouble getting the books over from Aus. I could send you an ecopy or try to send it directly from the US printer. I’d only be able to send to one of you and have you pass the other along though?
What would you prefer? How soon do you want to read Scourge of Scotland? 😅
Many thanks
