Please see a bio of our attending authors…

Lissa Marie Redmond…

Recommend this one to anyone who loves courtroom dramas where lawyers tear into witnesses like pit bulls. And to anyone hot for a police procedural where tired cops make mistakes but slowly, relentlessly―and with morbid humor―get the job done. Redmond delivers both in one package. . . .The real attraction here is a keyhole view into a world that turns our expectations upside down―a world where a bullying, quasi-fascist cop can be the only one with a handle on reality. Keep your eyes on Redmond, a retired cop who knows how to write.”―Booklist

“Redmond, a recently retired Buffalo PD homicide detective, keeps everything moving nicely in this well-constructed crime novel.”―Publishers Weekly

“An excellent police procedural combined with a psychological thriller.”―Kirkus Reviews

A Cold Day in Hell is a fine first novel and Lauren Riley is cool new addition to the world of PI and cop protagonists. A retired detective, Lissa Marie Redmond gives it to the reader without the sugarcoating and lifts the veil off how the system really works … or doesn’t.”―Reed Farrel Coleman, New York Times bestselling author of What You Break

“Ex-cop Lissa Redmond has a sure hand with police procedure, which should be no surprise. The joy of A Cold Day in Hell comes from her equally sure hand with storytelling. This is a welcome new voice on the crime scene.”―SJ Rozan, bestselling author of Ghost Hero

Anna Quinn…

Anna Quinn is a writer, teacher, and the owner of The Writers’ Workshoppe and Imprint Bookstore in Port Townsend, WA. She has thirty years of experience teaching and leading writing workshops across the country. Her writing has appeared in Writer’s Digest, Psychology Today, Literature Circles, Instructor, Manifest-Station, Lit Fest Anthology 2016, and Washington 129 Anthology. Anna’s first novel, THE NIGHT CHILD, was published Jan. 30th, 2018 by Blackstone Publishing.

 Jenny Milchman…

Jenny Milchman is a suspense writer from New York State, who lived for eleven months on the road with her family on what Shelf Awareness called “the world’s longest book tour.”

After a thirteen year journey/trek/slog toward publication, Jenny’s debut novel, COVER OF SNOW, was acquired by Random House. It won the Mary Higgins Clark award, was praised by the New York Times, and chosen as an Indie Next and Target Pick. RUIN FALLS, was published the next year, and chosen as an Indie Next Pick and a Top Ten of 2014 by Suspense Magazine. Jenny’s third novel, AS NIGHT FALLS, was published in June, 2015.

Jenny speaks nationwide about the publishing industry and the importance of sticking to a dream. She is Vice President of Author Programming for International Thriller Writers, and the founder of Take Your Child to a Bookstore Day. Jenny led the literary series Writing Matters, which covered the publishing industry during the upheaval of 2009, attracted guests coast-to-coast, and received national media attention. She teaches writing and publishing for New York Writers Workshop.

Jaqueline Smith…

Jacqueline Smith is the award-winning author of the Cemetery Tours series, the Boy Band series, and Trashy Romance Novel. She  was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She attended the University of Texas at Dallas, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Art and Performance in 2010. Two years later, she earned her Master’s Degree in Humanities.

Along with writing and publishing, Jacqueline loves photography, traveling, and nature.

James W. Peercy…

James William Peercy spent his early years in California, fifteen minutes from Disneyland. As to the effect of this experience, we can only guess, but imagination seems to make the top of the list. During his later years in Texas, he obtained a BA in Computer Science with a minor in Math. Although analytical, the creative side has to find a way out. To ease the pain, he designs websites, programs code, takes photographs, and writes.

“The desire to write first over took me in middle school after reading ‘The Red Planet’ by Robert A. Heinlein.” From that point on, he could not get enough. As the ideas filled his head, James had to find a way to let them out.

Whether it is scifi, fantasy, mystery, or poetry, you’ll see all kinds from this author. Relationships are the keys to all stories. As any good writer will tell you, “There are no new stories, only different details in the telling.” In 2017, he and Jacqueline E. Smith won the New Apple Solo Medalist Award for poetry with Within the Heart of Silence.

In the words of J.R.R. Tolkien, “May the hair on your toes never fall out!”
