I felt an instant bond with the characters and found myself rooting for Sarah on her journey and realization that her husband was not who she thought he was. Dete Meserve slowly and purposefully allows readers to learn just enough details about a life changing mystery to be captivated. This is a story that caused many mixed emotions as the plot unraveled and I realized that some characters aren’t who you thought they were. Sarah’s detailed account of her relationship with Ben made the murder he is accused of seem impossible. Even though their marriage seemed to be slipping from their grasps, Sarah never believed what others told her about her husband.

Do all the clues and encrypted messages lead Sarah to believe that Ben harbored unbelievable secrets that she knew nothing about… or is Sarah looking at clues in the wrong places from the wrong people?
