Our Review…

The first scene of the book is intense as it takes place while 7 year old Lola Jade Harper is asleep in her own bed. Someone creeps up on her and seemingly drugs her and takes her away. But who?

Well, Alison James did a great job keeping me guessing until the very last page! Poor Lola! She really had everything and everyone working against her. Her mother did her best to keep up her “perfect mother who grieves endlessly for her only daughter, her “princess”, persona while at the same time seems to care more about her appearance and image! Even Lola Jade’s father is missing which makes him look guilty of something!

Detective Rachel and Sargent Brickall work to piece together the puzzle of how and why Lola Jade goes missing. No one seems to know anything, everyone’s alibi’s seem to check out, Michelle Harper (Lola Jade’s mother) had an answer for everything! So… IS LOLA JADE ALIVE? What’s the motive?

Well, you won’t believe what Rachael finds out about this family and their past. On your family’s worst day, you will think their the Brady Bunch!
