My story begins aged 3, when my mother abandoned me and left me with my brutal father to raise me. Nobody knew the secrets that went on inside that house, or the journey that I travelled on after leaving it, until now. This is the story of my survival.

We are just blown away at what some people have been through. Amelia writes one of the most candid, raw, heart wrenching stories we’ve ever read. She describes her experiences growing up with her disgustingly abusive father, her good for nothing selfish step mother, and knowing all along her biological mother left her and never looked back. Her writing is so raw and real that while you read, you will feel the breath escape your lungs and the overwhelming feeling of loneliness deep into your being. You will wish you were there to comfort and love her. Reading stories like Amelia’s story makes me realize time and time again that someone can use their experience for good or for evil. They can make a choice to live opposite their role models or be doomed to repeat their past.
It’s all so amazing. She painted such a vivid picture of how lonely she was and how unloved she felt. I found my heart rate accelerate during certain parts as I just couldn’t fathom how any adult let alone a parent… can be that much of a disgusting piece of shit.
Thank God, Amelia found it within herself to overcome and move on. I’m so happy she has found love and purpose in her life!
