November 9: 4.5/5 I loved this story! It’s told from such a unique perspective and over time. Every year on November 9. Readers will want Fallon and Ben to end up together… but is it in their cards?
Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day before her scheduled cross-country move. Their untimely attraction leads them to spend Fallon’s last day in LA together, and her eventful life becomes the creative inspiration Ben has always sought for his novel. Over time and amidst the various relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they continue to meet on the same date every year. Until one day Fallon becomes unsure if Ben has been telling her the truth or fabricating a perfect reality for the sake of the ultimate plot twist. Can Ben’s relationship with Fallon – and simultaneously his novel – be considered a love story if it ends in heartbreak?
Without Merit 5/5: this one begs to be read. I LOVE Merit. Her character is strong, badass, I afraid, determined, and stubborn. She’s also, depressed, scared, in denial, and self loathing. She has no easy life and the details of her family’s secrets will shock you. But Merit is the kind of character you want to win. You want her so badly to come out on top. But her life is pretty screwed up so…..
In Colleen Hoover’s gripping novel, reminiscent of the best-selling works of Liane Moriarty and Jojo Moyes, a young woman decides to reveal the dark secrets of her seemingly happy family before she leaves them behind, but when her escape plan fails, she must deal with the staggering consequences of telling the truth.
All Your Perfects (if I could given 10 stars, I would). This story absolutely gutted me. It was the most heart wrenching love story I’ve ever read. I can’t say enough about it! READ IT!!!!
imperfect marriage. The memories, mistakes, and secrets that they have built up over the years are now tearing them apart. The one thing that could save them might also be the very thing that pushes their marriage beyond the point of repair. All Your Perfects is a profound novel about a damaged couple whose potential future hinges on promises made in the past. This is a heartbreaking pause resister that asks: Can a resounding love with a perfect beginning survive a lifetime between two imperfect people?
